Bilingual Dictionaries of Modern Greek
Presentation of the main bilingual dictionaries of Modern Greek
Introductory Note
This program aims to propose means of making use of bilingual dictionaries available in Greece for the teaching/learning of Modern Greek as a second/foreign language. The specific subject of our research was to locate these dictionaries and present their contents on the basis of criteria determined by the research team following an investigation into the related bibliography, as well as to present a critical assessment of these. More specifically: all the words beginning with the letter “T” that fulfilled our criteria are listed. We then present bilingual dictionaries of Greek and: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Bulgarian, Rumanian, and Arabic. It is anticipated that this project will be further enhanced with other languages in the future.
