The Program for Intra-Language Translation, created within the framework of the “Electronic Komvos,” supports the work of teachers of Ancient Greek language and literature at the Lykeion, and endeavors to promote the translation process to a fruitful component of learning about Greek and antiquity. More specifically, it aims:

• At restoring the importance of intra-language as a critical factor in communication between two chronologically distant, converging and diverging cultures.
• At multi-faceted training of philologists in theoretical, historical, and practical issues involving intra-language translation, with the help of appropriate scholarly bibliography.
• At directly supporting the teaching of Ancient Greek, through alternative translation samples and systematic teaching suggestions.
